| that's only the case if you have database RI turned on, which I don't. I maintain it programmatically so there is no issue deleting a user profile while maintaining their old posts. The only downside in that is that if you view an old post you can't click on it to see their profile since it would no longer exist. The post itself is not affected. In fact, there have been approximately 35,000 profiles deleted over the years. I used to keep them pruned up nicely but it: A) got to be a pain in the butt and B) got some of the 'other' forums to boast that they had the highest member count which is very very far from the truth. About evenly split between both reasons is why I don't bother cleaning it out anymore.
